Try a new food and cooking

Have you ever tried raw oysters, escargot or frog’s legs? Maybe you have never had something as simple as sushi. Think of all the things you have yet to taste, then go out and try something new. Or try out cooking appliances that you have never tried. A deep fryera smoker, a pressure cooker. Cooking known ingredients in a different way you have never tried before is a whole new experience!

Take a Road Trip

Pick a spot on the map, get into your car or rent a car and just drive. There are very few activities in this world that are as fun-filled and as exhilarating as going on a road trip either solo on a motorbike, with your best half in a roadster or renting a van to fit all your best friends.

Make a list of all the things you would like to do along the way and you can even easily combine it with other adventures along the way.

Be a Tourist in Your Own City

Can you confidently say that you know your city in and out? Take the time to visit more than just your usual hangout places or do activities other than your usual hobby.

Be a tourist in your own city, go to new places and adventures and you will be surprised by just how wonderful that old town can be. Are there any activities you haven’t done in your hometown?

Have the Ultimate BBQ

Good food, good company, cold beers and warm outdoor weather, what more could you ask for in this world? Having an ultimate BBQ is one of the best ways to while away a boring Saturday or Sunday afternoon. Have you ever had a juicy steak from the smoker? This might be your call to rent a smoker or the ultimate BBQ grill that you would never buy.

Go Backpacking with a Friend

You haven’t lived until you’ve experienced wilderness and gone backpacking. Grab your most adventurous friend or two and take on this outdoor adventure! You can do something as simple as visiting the local park or the neighboring region. Or you go for a multi day adventure and camp in nature.

Make Ice Cream

Instead of going to the supermarket and getting your favorite ice cream flavor, rent an ice cream machine and make some at home! Imagine all the flavors you ever wanted to try and fill your belly with that delicious ice cream! Yummy!

Learn surfing

This is a bit more challenging than most other things on this list, but we want you to enjoy the summer while also learning how to catch a wave. You can find fun, beginner’s surf instructors and affordable beginner boards to rent near every surf beach.

Throw a summer party

Parties are always fun, even more so in summer, outside and with the proper equipment. Get together all your friends and rent all the bar equipment, a party tent and maybe even a bouncy castle for the kids (and grown ups).

Take a Canoe Ride

Spending at least one summer afternoon in a canoe is a must. You’ll feel the summer camp vibes for sure! Either on your neighborhood lake or you combine it with a roadtrip to a further away lake that you don’t know yet. Even more adventurous!

Hit the Road in a campervan

Itching to get away for a few days without breaking the bank? Then say hello to a campervan road trip. Map out your route before you go, then rent a campervan and set off to a few never-before-seen spots around the country (or abroad).

Go camping

Bonfires, barbecues, and bike rides: A camping adventure conjures up the childhood joys of summer sleepaways; but with all the modern amenities you want as an adult.

Find someone’s garden or plot to camp at and rent all the camping gear you need, or even a motorhome. Also read our blogpost on how to have a great camping adventure with rented gear.
